Lee County Treasurer Melinda Krause is proud to partner with the Texas Comptroller's Unclaimed Property Outreach Team to host an Unclaimed Property Search Event.
Texas is currently holding about $3 billion in property that has not been claimed and approximately $800 million in shared property that has been partially claimed and paid to some of the owners. We are inviting you to come out to search for and claim what is rightfully yours. One out of four Texans has unclaimed property (money). You could be one of them.
You do not need ID to search but if you are filing a claim you will need picture ID and proof of SSN to speed up the process.
