Where Do I Recycle?
Precinct #2 Barn on Highway 77 South accepts items for recycle between the hours of 7:30 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday with the exception of holidays and on the second Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Precinct #3 Lexington Recycle Center at 4th and Belton Street in Lexington, open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Precinct 3 holds a second Saturday cleanup each month where the Center is manned and used motor oil is accepted as well as old appliances, furniture and household discards bagged, (these items are only excepted second Saturday).
Precinct #4 Barn in Lincoln (24 hours per day/7 days per week)
Dime Box Recycle Center (24 hours per day/7 days per week) Oil recycling is taken at Alvin’s Service Center.
How Do I Recycle?
GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS:
Remove food residue
Remove metal lids and place with tin cans
Remove plastic lids
Clear, brown or green glass
No pyrex, window or plate glass
ALUMINUM AND TIN CANS:
Remove food residue
No aerosol cans
MAGAZINES, NEWSPAPERS AND ALL INSERTS:
Must not be exposed to sun or water
Cannot be tied in stacks
No telephone books
MOTOR OIL AND OIL FILTERS:
No contaminants (water, etc.)
No fiberglass filters
No tires, batteries, tin, wire, or building materials will be accepted at any location. |
