Gwendolyn Bennett was a poet, columnist,
artist, and writer. In addition to being a
prolific writer, Bennett fostered the creative
works of fellow writers and was one of the
youngest leaders of the Harlem
Renaissance.

Dr. Belinda Wheeler will give a presentation

that helps us discover more about the far-
reaching influence of this important figure

from Giddings. Dr. Wheeler will also sell
and sign copies of her book Heroine of the
Harlem Renaissance and Beyond.
