Welcome to the Chamber of Commerce. We are a group of dedicated community leaders who love Giddings and Lee County. We advocate, promote, educate, and network together to impact our businesses and our community. Through the many different events and activities that we host or promote, you will be able to meet or come in contact with many local business leaders. Our community is made up of many small businesses, retailers, manufacturers, and of course restaurants and the service industry.
Giddings is conveniently located between Houston and Austin on Highway 290 and we proudly boast that you can eat somewhere different every day for a month and never eat the same thing twice. We are blessed with many restaurants and places to get something good to eat. We also have many unique retailers that offer up a variety of items for purchase.
We do have many places of worship and numerous parks and several museums. We have award winning rodeos, the Lee County Fair, and our fantastic Freedom Fest that kicks of the July 4th celebrations in our community. The Fury on the Fourth Pro Bull Riding at the Lee County Sheriff's Posse Arena and the Fireman's BBQ Fundraiser and Fireworks Show all happen during the July 4th celebrations.
The Chamber of Commerce serves as the Visitors Center and Tourism office which allows us to interact with many people on a daily basis.

What our Chamber Does in the Community
The Giddings Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of business and professional men and women who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic and commercial progress of our community. The economic well being of this area is related directly to the caliber of work that is done by the Chamber and its staff. That is why the Giddings Chamber has a major impact on business, income and future growth of the area.
There are two primary functions of a chamber of commerce:
1. It acts as spokesperson for the business and professional community and translates into action the group thinking of its members, and
2. It renders specific services of a type that can be most effectively rendered by a
community organization both to its members and to the community as a whole.
The Chamber works to coordinate the efforts of commerce and the professions in maintaining and strengthening a sound and healthy business climate in the Giddings area.
The Chamber works to develop aggressive programs of work and stimulate activities that will provide for full development and employment of our human and economic resources.
The Chambers strives to provide creative business leadership and effective coordination of all interested parties in solving community problems and in initiating constructive community action.
And the Chamber helps to create broad understanding and appreciation of the great opportunities in the Giddings area, and to promote the advantages and assets of our community within the county, area, state and the world.
