People to People |
NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES
Networking with other members and business leaders in the community is one of the most important ways to get people to do business with you. Members are encouraged to attend Chamber activities so that they can meet other local business people to exchange business cards and information.
RIBBON CUTTINGS - OR REDEDICATIONS
The Chamber provides special three-foot scissors and red ribbon for the ceremony at no cost to the business. A photo advertisement will run in an upcoming issue of the Giddings Times and News free of charge provided the business has advertised prior to the event. We will be happy to advise you in setting up your Ribbon Cutting. Attending ribbon cuttings is also a good way to meet new businesses and new people.
OPEN HOUSES, BUSINESS AFTER HOURS, MIXERS, AND GROUND BREAKINGS
These activities provide opportunities for Chamber members to welcome and meet new people. Would you like to have a mixer or open house at your business? Call us and we'll be happy to help. Interested in helping others to organize a mixer/open house as a Chamber volunteer? Let us know!
CHAMBER BREAKFASTS
Members may sponsor a Chamber Breakfast in order to get to know their fellow members. (Breakfast doesn't have to be elaborate.) If you're interested in sponsoring a Breakfast, call us at the Chamber. We'll help you pick a day and time and help you in any way we can. As sponsor of the Breakfast, you get 20 minutes of the hour to introduce yourself and tell everyone about your business. The remainder of the time is for socialization and for other members to have a 1 minute introduction.
CHAMBER LUNCHEONS
Members are encouraged to attend the Chamber Luncheons to network with other Chamber members. Members bring their business cards to distribute. These luncheons are meant to provide members with opportunities to build relationships with other members. Luncheons are usually held at a local restaurant, each member buys their own meal. The Chamber likes to find a speaker who can talk about a topic that is educational or beneficial to attending member businesses. Do you have a subject you feel is beneficial to your fellow businesses and would you like to speak about it?
Businesses who work to grow and nurture relationships with their customers will be more protected than their competitors, more likely to survive an economic downturn and more likely to grow over time. |
